We are offering you the opportunity to join the editorial team of this prestigious program by offering from March 1, 2017 the position of Graduate Trainee Editorial, Plastics Technology
In the framework of an 18-month traineeship, you will gain experience in all aspects of editorial work, such as assessment of manuscripts; copyediting, proofreading, and preparation of manuscripts for print and eBooks using modern methods; acquisition; working with authors; and composition of descriptive and promotional copy. Under the guidance of highly experienced colleagues, you will become acquainted with all these areas and also undertake projects independently.
A university/college degree (preferably in a technical or scientific subject)
Excellent, business-fluent spoken and written English (ideally native speaker); German language would be an advantage
High interest in technical publishing (print and electronic); ideally some publishing experience (e.g., internship)
Confidence using standard business software such as
An organized approach with ability to work independently to deadlines, including attention to efficiency and quality
Strong communication skills
Enjoyment in dealing with people and working in a team
An exciting traineeship in an international environment
A good mixture of learning by doing, support from helpful colleagues, and attendance of seminars
